Chalean Extreme/TurboFire Hybrid-Day 26 Burn Intervals + Ab Burner (Final Time)

Chalean Extreme/TurboFire Hybrid-Day 26 Burn Intervals + Ab Burner (Final Time)

May 5, 2012

Happy Day 26 of our Chalean Extreme/TurboFire Hybrid! Today is the last and final time we will be doing Burn Intervals because it will be replaced with a TurboFire workout in the coming weeks and I am SOOOO Excited for that! In today’s video and in this Blog post we started with Ab Burner and wanted to share a little bit about that and then get into Burn Intervals. So in Ab Burner we are getting used to the moves, we are able to move through them better, while laughing and having a good time. I use 5lb weights for the few exercises that require weight and John uses 15-20lbs. On the last move the Oblique Wrap through I fold up a towel and place it under the stable knee to give some added support. So try this if you have any knee pain/discomfort at all during this move.

Then for the main event: Burn Interval, there is truly no other workout like it as it combines intense cardio and weights into 1 killer routine. It was such an exhausting, exhilarating routine and I wanted to give you a solid review so I will list out all the exercises you will encounter in this one. You start with Jump Rope drills (brings back not so found Insanity the Asylum memories), then you have Bicep Curls, followed by a Speed Skate w/ the Thigh Toner, then an Overhead Shoulder Press, moved into some Kickboxing Drills (Happy TurboFire Memories Here), Next was Lunges, followed by a Lunging Jumpshot, next was Bent Over Rows, followed by a Plyo Bowler’s Lunge, then Bent Tricep Extention, followed by more Kickboxing Drills with Thigh Toner, next was Lateral Raises, followed by Sumo Burpees, more Bicep Curls, next a Plyo Reverse Lunge, then Weighted Crunches, followed by a TurboFire Speed Bag, Squats, Jumping Jacks w/ High knees using the Thigh Toner, and finally the Lower Body Blast. There were 20 exercises in total and they alternated between the cardio and weight training activities. Chalean says the weight portion of this routine is your active rest so you could recovery and do more cardio. The cardio drills are about a minute in length and the weight lifting fluctuated in time.

Overall a seriously intense workout, so check out the video below and see it for yourself. Leave comments, ask questions, let us know what you think, what you want to know, anything!
