Chalean Extreme/TurboFire Hybrid-Day 36 PUSH Circuit #1

Alright boys and girls today we are on our 2nd round of the PUSH Circuit Workouts and today we have PUSH Circuit #1. We’ve made it to day 36 of our Hybrid and it just seems to get tougher and tougher as we go. Today’s workout was one we had pretty dialed in from last time, we picked the correct weight the first time around so there wasn’t too much fluctuation this week from last week. The goal in the Push month is 6 to 8 reps and John and I were focused and able to achieve that on every exercise. For me all the weights I used were the same and achieved the same number of reps on each exercise except the Single Leg Squats I went from 17.5lbs last week to 20lbs this week and still maintained 8 reps. For John his weights and reps stayed pretty much the same as well with slightly more fluctuation than me. He dropped his weight on the V Press from 25lbs to 20lbs and on the Overhead Tricep Extensions from 65lbs to 60lbs but then upped his weight on  the Heel Squat from 60lbs to 65lbs and the single leg squat from 50lbs to 55lbs.

Overall is was a challenging but rewarding workout today. We pushed hard, used heavy weights, move through the exercises slowly and with good form, and accomplished our goals.  A tip from me to you is to write down the weights you used last time in your guidebook but then jump ahead and write down what weight you plan to use the next time you do that circuit so if it was a good/challenging weight write the same number for next time, if it was too challenging and you didn’t make 6 reps write a lighter weight and if it was pretty easy and you’re ready for more of a challenge write a heavier weight. That way next week you’ll know exactly what weights you need and you can go off how you felt right after the exercise instead of trying to remember from last week how you did.
