Les Mills PUMP Hybrid: Beast Cardio Review Day 16 (With Coach John)

Sep 10, 2012

So we are in it today guys! Today was a cardio day on my Les Mills Pump Hybrid Schedule and since Coach John is doing Body Beast’s Beast Cardio today I decided I’d join in. Since this is a off day from strength training I opted to not use weighs during this routine but followed through all the moves as they were designed. I modified here and there, was a bit out of breathe from time to time, but overall had a great workout!

Body Beast is a Strength Training Program that focusing on helping people put on more Muscle Mass which if that sounds like something your interested in, leave comments or email us at info@gf2revolution.com and join our Body Beast Challenge Group. Coach John will be happy to help you get the best results possible from this program. However this particular workout was cardio based and only 30mins in length. The length may be short but that doesn’t mean this workout isn’t intense because it is. If you are doing this in conjunction with the Body Beast Program you need a set of light weights about 10lbs and something to use as a step, in one exercise. In the video they use a workout bench but you can use a large dumbbell or aerobic step, anything really.

The workout incorporates a lot of cardio based moves, most lasting about 1 min in length. You tend to do some of the moves such as the squats at a rapid pace and then at the end do isometric holds at the bottom before releasing back up to repeat the drill. It’s quick everything is low impact, high intensity, and really a great cardio routine. I really enjoyed this routine it is great to amp up the cardio and of course loved working out with my hubby. We also did Hardcore abs at the end which was 10 times harder today after Beast Cardio, but we got through. Check out the video below for a look at Beast Cardio and share your thoughts below.
