Les Mills Pump Hybrid: Cardio X From P90X & HardCore Abs Day 14 with Coach John

Sep 8, 2012

Alright guys so today was a Cardio day in the schedule and I am ready to start my Les Mills Hybrid and mix some BB Cardio programs into the mix instead of the 45min walk. So I had the option of choosing any cardio program of my choice. Coach John however had a personal request that being the wonderful wife that I am, I of course honored. He is P90X Certified and will be instructing P90X fitness classes, so he wanted to practice instructing and cuing the moves, so that meant P90X Cardio X. This cardio program is a hodgepodge of Yoga, Kenpo, Plyometrics, and Core Synergistics. So a little bit of everything really. It was a great ease back into cardio for me, it’s not too intense but gets you sweating.

You start with Yoga by doing Sun Salutations utilizing runners pose, warrior 1, warrior 2, and reverse warrior, with some downward dog and plank work. You then move into Kenpo where you will do a series of kicks and punches in a combo that challenges your cardio and balance. Next you move into Plyometrics which is the meat of the class in my opinion. You go through airborne heisman, swing kicks, jump shots, tires, and wacky jacks. The final segment of this workout is
Core Synergistic which includes Squat Cross X Press, Steam Engine, Dreya Roll, Squat Run, and Superman Banana.

And that’s it, like I said a little bit of everything P90X has to offer but not as intense as you may think. If you are interested in more info about P90X or Cardio X let me know I’m a P90X grad and can give you tons of insights into, but in the meantime check out the video and share your thoughts below. Also we did HardCore Abs and Coach John gives you his honest review of how it stacks up to the other Beachbdoy Ab routines. Make sure you hear what he has to say.
