Les Mills Pump Hybrid: Pump & Burn Day 8

Les Mills Pump Hybrid: Pump & Burn Day 8

Sep 2, 2012

So today is Day 8 and the start of Week 2 of my Les Mills Pump Hybrid. Today was a long day for me as we were traveling from my mom’s house 3 hours down south up to Fresno and having to unpack and put everything away takes a lot out of you. John and I both had to get our workouts in when we arrived home so he got to go first since he takes pre-workout and we wanted to allow him to take it as many hours away from when he’d be sleeping as possible. For me that meant I was left to finish unpacking, but then when I started my workout he was in charge of dinner, so I guess it all worked out.

This is my first attempt at Pump and Burn since starting this hybrid and I wish I was going into it with a better attitude and energy level, but I’m exhausted and hungry so it is what it is. The workout is a little longer than the Pump Challenge at 30mins and is a more complete workout routine. You start with a great warm up, then move into a squat track, chest track, legs and back track, abdominal track, and finally a nice cool down and stretch! I was missing not having a warm up and cool down on the Pump Challenge Routine so this was very well rounded in my option and I loved not having the lunge track either (small victory)! My butt was sky high in the ab routine tough, so I need to work on that, but overall I think I did well and I really enjoyed the routine. I rushed off to dinner so no exit video but it does go through each of the tracks so you can see what Pump and Burn is all about. As for me I maintained the 5lb plates for all the tracks in this program, and that was a perfect weight for me. So check out the video and let us know what you thin of Les Mills Pump and Burn.
