TurboFire Day 20: Core 20 + Stretch 40

So today is Day 20 of my TurboFire adventure and I have Core 20 + Stretch 40! I really need this particular workout today because I am in a terrible mood. There is o much stress and drama going on right now and it has just put me in a funky mood. I feel depressed, deflated, stressed, and just out of sorts. Tonight’s workout was done later than anticipated, after dinner in fact, but it was nice to do a lower intensity workout to just instill a level of calm, which is exactly what I needed today. The Core 20 workout is getting easier for me to do as far as making sure I am using proper form and able to stay in the moves the entire time. It is nice because I feel like she works your Core the whole time but mixes up the moves well so you don’t get bored with the routine. Then there is the Stretch 40 which is just a Yoga series in my opinion and I love the relaxation it brings over me.  I feel I am getting more flexible as I go through this workout each week and I do think it makes a big difference in both my overall flexibility and my ability to do better in the other TurboFire workouts. For instance I feel like I can kick higher and rotate better due to my added flexibility. When we did the relaxation piece I didn’t want to wake back up I just wanted to peacefully lie there and not get up for the rest of the night. It was a great way to end the night for sure, very calming and it put me in a much better mood overall!

So as I said earlier unfortunately my mood and energy level today were non-existent I’d give them maybe a 2 or 3 for the day, I did get 8 hours of sleep the night before, I drank 6 glasses of water today, and I ate  within my calorie range for the day. I did splurge today and get a Starbucks Coffee but I adjusted my other meals so I’d stay within my calorie range for the day. I had Shakeology for lunch today and it was my protein packed Carl Diekler Special with Banana, Peanut Butter, and Honey! So check out my video below and you will visibly see from start to finish how my mood started out all depressed and funky and how at the end I was much more at peace and calm. The weird coloring on my camera even shifted from start to finish, so check that out so you can see how working out really does make a visible difference in your mood, when in doubt workout!
