TurboFire Day 43: Fire 55EZ (Fitness is a Journey)

TurboFire Day 43: Fire 55EZ (Fitness is a Journey)

Feb 20, 2012

Today is Day 43 of my TurboFire adventure and I apologize for my temporary Hiatus. As I think I may have mentioned we had an extended weekend this past weekend and I went down to Sunny Southern California to visit my mom. Well we went down on Thursday and I did not take my video camera, so I didn’t record my workouts. I do apologize! On Thursday I did Fire 30 + Tone 30 a repeat of my Valentine’s Day Special except with the Tone workout instead of the Sculpt workout. On Friday I had Fire 55EZ, which I tried to get my mom to join me on but no such luck. On Saturday instead of Fire 45 we went on a 5 mile family walk which was nice to work out as a family, and then on Sunday I got my Core 20 + Stretch 40 on! I know there are no videos to prove it but I hope by now my word is good enough and you know I did my workouts and I brought the intensity.

I know I substituted 1 workout for a 5mile walk, but I felt like that was where my time was better spent. One of my biggest reasons for getting in shape is to encourage myself and my family to lead long and healthy lives.   Last summer my husband, mom, friend, and I all completed our 1st half marathon, and since then my mom has not made an effort to keep up an active lifestyle. This is not to call her out, it’s to express a concern about how when you set goals for yourself and reach them, you feel like you are done and can stop, but when you make a positive change to lead a better life there is no end point in sight. Health and fitness is a journey, and it’ll always be a priority for me. So anyway I really enjoyed making the weekend about family and really urging us all to put fitness back in the forefront and make positive changes that will continue on long after I complete TurboFire or run my next 5K. This is my life and I plan to live it pain free and healthy!

So after a wonderful weekend we drove back and I got home a few hours ago! We unloaded the car and then the DVD went in and it was time for Fire 55 EZ. As much as I went on and on up above about a healthy lifestyle and its importance, it was hard to go from a 3 hour drive, unpacking the car and putting things away to working out, and to my least favorite workout out of course, but I did push play. More than that I tried to just stay positive, realize how important all this is to me, and put all I had into the workout. I tried to smile through it as I say, and get my dance on. I pushed hard through the whole routine and ended in a better mood than I started. See Attitude really is everything. I think this is the first time in a long time I didn’t get my 8 hours of sleep the night before I think I got about 6, I drank 8 glasses of water, my energy was about a 5, I ate within my calorie range, and am having Shakeology for dessert as I write this blog. Overall it was a great weekend and a pretty great day. Now all I have to do it get my breakfast and lunch pre-made for tomorrow and I will be all set. Check out the video below, email me at info@gf2revolution.com with questions and I’ll see you all tomorrow for Fire 30 + Sculpt 30!
