TurboFire Day 65: Fire 45 (Weighted Gloves) Don’t Punch Yourself in the Face

Today is Day 65 of TurboFire and today we had my favorite workout, which is Fire 45 so I was excited to get my workout on today, even though I was truly exhausted! I looked forward to this workout all day long! Even while I was at work I was thinking about it LOL! It sounds really strange to say that out loud, but it’s true. Which is so great if you can find that workout t hat makes you feel like it’s a reward not a chore, and that’s what TurboFire in general is for me and specifically what Fire 45 is for me. I loved rocking out as always to the music! It hardly feels like working out at all as I am just shaking my thing and having a good old time, but by the end of the workout I am drenched so I know it’s kicking my butt in the process. I work hard in this workout, but I have a smile on my face the entire time.

The workout is no joke you start with the normal warm up and then get right down to business with non-stop dancing. There are tons of good songs to dance along to and intermediately she throws in 3 Firedrills. You do one at about 27 minutes and you only do that one once so you better nail it, then later in the routine you do a second Firedrill and you repeat that one two times. Once you finished your last Firedrill the workout seems to slow down a bit, but still uses big movements that burn tons of calories. Now I know I love this workout and it always makes me feel great in the end, but I have to be honest about something. I was so exhausted as I started my workout today and I put tons of intensity into it, but no matter how much I willed myself to keep going my body was exhausted at somewhere around the finale and I ended up punching myself in the face. So because I was wearing the weighted gloves I was throwing some lazy punches and the weight propelled my hand forward more than I anticipated and I clocked myself in the chin. So in all seriousness guys know your limits, take the gloves off if it gets too intense and be careful. The weights are a great way to add intensity but you also need to use caution and be smart. So once you are done with all that you also throw Stretch 10 in at the end to just really stretch out and prevent injury or soreness the next day.

So there you have it that was Fire 45 at its finest, minus the punching myself in the face bit, but overall a good workout. My energy was about a 5 when I started and raised to an 8 by the time I was done, I drank my 8 glasses of water today due to my new secret weapon, my 32oz water bottle I carry with me to school, I got 8 hours of sleep the night before, ate within my calorie range, and had an awesome Shakeology Recipe today. Today’s Recipe was Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake and it was so decadent and awesome. You use 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology 1TBL Peanut Butter, 1TBL Fat Free Sugar Free Cheesecake Pudding Mix and 8oz of water, blended with Ice.
